Like a Good Neighbor
One winery my lady friend wanted to visit was an organic, hard cider place (she likes hard ciders) The place is called Good Neighbor Winery The sign is hard to spot and the driveway is long, but you end up at this charming barn. Look at this cool birdhouse, it has a fishing lure as a roosting post.
The interior reminded me of some kind of rustic hunting lodge...
...a scary moose head hanging on the wall...
...a charming, double-sided fireplace, couches, chairs, etc.
And lavender, oh the lavender! They had a lot of it for sale in bunches as well as using it to make lavender chocolate chip cookies.
Ok, now for the ciders. Just look at the excited look of anticipation on my lovely lady's face:
The bartender (who was also the brewmaster) was extremely passionate about his craft. He loved his job and his ciders. And they were pretty good. The best ones, in my opinion, were the peach and the icy hard apple.
The man decided to have a beer instead. The winery features two locally crafted beers that change frequently.
Overall, we had a very pleasant experience. I would definitely return again. Thanks, Good Neighbor Bartender/Brewmaster, for you hospitality!
