Happy Thanksgiving!
Phew, am I glad Thanksgiving is over. Now I can get back to my normal schedule and not be stuck in the kitchen with the woman making things. I was so tired from this week that I had a hard time getting out of bed; I was just so tired.
Before I could help out with the food, I had to fuel up. The woman made pumpkin bourbon french toast for breakfast. Yum.
The man got to play video games while I had to slave away in the kitchen with the woman. Puff. I can’t wait til I’m old enough to do what I want, when I want all the time.
After preparing the food, the man forced me to change into a sweater. At first I was all hot and itchy, still warm from cooking in the kitchen. But once I sat down and cooled off I felt better. Plus, I looked super snazzy in my sweater, as you can see.
Our feast started off with some light appetizers:
sweet potato balls, white bean and kale crosinti, spinach and artichoke dip and most importantly, shrimp
I was even allowed one glass of sparkling wine.
I was so full after all these tasty delights, I had to take a break from eating. A few hours later I was ready for the main feast. Turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, 2 kinds of stuffing (apple cranberry and regular), green bean casserole….yum. Right as I finish my plate I realized I forgot to get some cranberry sauce, but by this point there was no more room in my little tummy. Oh well, I’ll just be sure to have some with my leftovers tomorrow. I was even too full for dessert.
Overall, we had a nice, relaxing day. After the morning's activity, it was nice to just sit and chill the rest of the day and evening.
